to this pitch trax on TBS playoff games? i swear to GOD i am obsessed with this thing.. all i do now is keep looking at the bottom right of the screen and see where each pitch went.. i can't take my eyes off it..

I have learned something new from this.. and that is umps make so so many mistakes each game. i also learned that each time i thought the pitch hit the outside corner, it was really outside by 5 inches.. almost every outside corner pitch that is called a strike is 5 inches outside. wow, i had no idea umps made this many mistakes a game.

Umps have to hate this thing.. i'm surprised umps have not asked to take this thing down.

do you boys like this pitch trax and do you look at it alot like me, or do you not pay attention to it?

onner, i thought the same as you.. i swear to god, i see pitches that are ankle and way below knees and trax says strike. i see pitches way way high, and tracker says strike.. onner, great call, i think you're right, but i do love it..


btw onner, i am mad.. 4 months ago, i was 3,000 posts ahead of you. last month, when i thought you were dead, i was 1,000 posts ahead of you. today, you have passed me.. unreal.. helluva job.

When they show the pitch tracker live it is often really off, but then for the replay it is more accurate.

i am not a big NCAAF guy, but i am watching Mich/Iowa. i thought that game might be bigger...

but as for the pitch trax, i was referring to the whole series, not just tonight. it's been on throughout the whole playoffs thus far..

i swear i can't take my eyes off of it ever. after each pitch, i tell myself, ok nicky, whatever you do, do NOT look at the bottom right of the screen, and guess what, i look again.. i love that pitch tracker. i get to see every mistake the HP ump makes..

Pretty sure they use the PitchFX system, the same one MLB uses to evaluate umpires. That goes for any network...

i have probably seen 38,487 games in my life. i have probably seen about 101,324 hrs of baseball.. of all that, that by far was the worst call i had ever seen by an ump..

i mean he was 5 feet away and in great position as a LF ump too and the ball was about 4.5 feet fair and he called if foul.. UNREAL.. that made the Don Denkinger call at 1b back in the 85 world series call like a good call. and that call back then was teh most famous wrong call in baseball history. he had death threats..

this call was way easier.

That PitchTrax is wrong all the time, I like the ESPN or FSN one, those seem more accurate.
