I go 4-0 for Beat the Prick last week...Being entirely new to SBR...Reading the language for the contest specifically the first sentence sounded pretty clear cut to me:
"You must enter a sportsbook account for each week to be eligible for that week's $5000 prize-pool. Click on "Contest Accounts" and add the required sportsbook account. You are free to add these accounts each week prior to making your picks."
So as I read from the above rules, I entered A sportsbook account last week. On Sunday seeing that I had gone 4-0 I was pumped but not wanting to be tripped up by some *asterik type rule; you know those things buried somewhere that specifically relates to a particular event you are participating in. Like oddsmaker.com giving a free $100 bonus but oh you can't play parlays or teasers with that money even though the software and site takes the bet and that specific language is somewhere else within the site.
So finally reading through the Beat the Prick thread on the forum I see that YES you need to enter that weeks SPONSORED specific book. Realizing the mistake I email and pm'ed CrazyLou my DSI account# asking him to please replace the submitted book accT# with my DSI account# Sunday before the Sunday night game is finalized and the Monday night game is even played which obviously those games effects the outcome of the eventual winners and amounts awarded for those that Beat the Prick.
On Monday day in chat CrazyLou says that prizes have already been awarded but he has to check with the powers that be and would get back to me in 24hours. Tuesday no response, Wednesday no response....
Finally on Thursday having not gotten a response from CrazyLou I write an email to Justin7 who as a lawyer I felt would understand the "technicality" nature of the mistake. Justin7 doesn't have control over what the powers that be decide but he saw no reason that I should lose my winnings based on the "technicality".
Finally after Justin7 emails CrazyLou I get a reply from CrazyLou to which he explains I need to sign up for an account and that they would give me the money only if I deposited the same amount. I ALREADY had an account with DSI which I had emailed CL on Sunday and replied to CL stating the same. And what seems to be CL's modus operandi to my reply to his email NO RESPONSE.
Just utterly frustrating....
