Giants Kiwanuka won't play for Rush Limbaugh
I read an interesting article, the NY Daily News columnist headlined it saying "black players" crush the prospect of playing for a Rush Limbaugh owned team, but it seems only two players which were likely interviewed as opposed to having 'spoken out' had a problem with Rush.

What I found interesting is the comment that set Kiwanuka off- - -

"...he (Rush) said in (President) Obama's America, white kids are getting beat up on the bus while black kids are chanting 'right on', Kiwanuka told The Daily News. "I mean, I don't want anything to do with a team that he has any part of. He can do whatever he wants, it is a free country. But if it goes through, I can tell you where I am not going to play."

So now we have the players trying to tell the League who they will accept as owners and who they will not accept. Screw them. It is none of their damn business. If they do not want to play, that is their option, but they have NO business trying to determine who owns a team and who does not. These player are over paid to begin with. Many of them are so stupid that they have to look at their Social Security Cards to figure out their names. If it were not for football, half of these fools would be slinging burgers at McD's, or in prison. If they want to determine team ownership, buy a team. If not, keep your ignorant mouths shut.

Rush has allegedly made several controversial remarks regarding NFL players over the years.

Limbaugh, who grew up in Missouriabout 100 miles south of St. Louis, is an avid sports fan who once said that "the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons."

NFL will find a way to keep Limbaugh out if necessary.
Will be zn injustice that he cannot be part of an NFL franchise for voicing some opinions.
But, remember Serbone told you, he will not be allowed to be in an ownership position in the NFL.

There is no way they will allow a racist own an NFL team. And a racist owner surrounded by 350 lb black football players is a recipe for disaster.

The most interesting part of this to me is how co-owner/potential co-owners will respond to this. In a league that has so many black players, is it worth handicapping your team by picking an owner that will reduce the talent pool you can select from. If I were an owner of any team, I wouldn't want that, regardless of who the person was.

hey i am from detroit, and the ford family has controlled the lions for awhile yet they have a long anti-semitic history just for starters. dig into any owner and you will find qualms i am sure. rush is pretty popular with a lot of nfl players and i think this is a non-story.

                      totally awesome, go Kiuwanuka!!

I have been saying for YEARS they need to make sports more personal - for example, people are only allowed to play for the team from where they were born. So all players on the Giants have to have been born in NY, all players on the Bears in Illinois, etc etc

Maybe each team could have a couple of outside-the-area exceptions, and maybe each team could have a couple of slots for foreigners as well.
