Why do "all" baseball player's spit continuely troughout their game ?

I don't like to even like to watch baseball,but damn,when I do ,why the hell do these young clone's have to nervously spit throughout the whole game ?
It get's weary after a while .
If the Baseball Commissioner would ever ban spitting from the game,most of these guy's would have to be taken directly to the psycho ward .

Okay...you mean when I get nervous,especially on a wager,examp.,NEB. last night,I can go out in my back yard start spitting up a storm,and if I want ,drive uptown ,step out of the car,but some seeds, and spew out a barrage of spit while I walk the streets ?
Then I want be so nervous......while sitting in the jailhouse ?
