Is this finally going to oden's year to dominate ?
Without injuries ,ODEN could dominate the "big man" title in the NBA this coming year !
I witnessed this man play in his freshman year in High School,so I am telling you ,take away those nagging injuries and he has an excellent chance of becoming the next "super-star " of big men .
The game I saw in his freshman year almost cost me my eye balls ,because,after 2 minutes of play they were rolling around on the floor !
Almost from the first minute of the game he was dominating the next State Champion Team.
I believe it was Indy North Central who won State 3 games after that matchup with ODEN .
Here is ODEN ,all 6'9 1/2 inches ,weighing ,probably 175/180 lgs,I mean pratically skin and bones ,yet ,4 minutes into the NORTH CENTRAL /LAWRENCE NORTH [Oden's team], ODEN was scaring NORTH CENTRAL ,and me, right out of "our" jockstraps.[yeah ,sometimes I wear one so I can get a better feel for the game]
At the 4 minute mark in the first quarter he was out rebounding a great N.CENTRAL with 8 rebounds,and had tied the game at 8 a piece, with ODEN having all of his teams 8 points .
That was impressive,knowing this young man had another 3 years to improve and grow in maturity .
But the most outstanding feature of his game at that juncture of his career*[this is the bell ringer],he was all over the court ,hustling with those long skinny legs and snatching rebounds with enthusiastic physical authority .
So he lost that game to the future State Champ of Indiana ,but won the next "large school" State Championship 3 straight years,actually rather easily too !
Watch this fellow ,he had a World of potential then, and I would expect him to reach that summit of greatness any year now !
