Most Jews gamble.. I am not a religious person, I have no clue if it is against Judaism.

Why did he grace us with rational thought then? To torment us, I assume.

I am not sure either. I am interested to know if it is permissable in judaism.

People's personal beliefs have no place inside true religion; or, if they can't resist the temptation to believe something, only as those beliefs apply to themselves; never to be forced on others. As I've said before:
"Verily, I say unto you, the first gambler amongst us is the Lord Himself. Wasn't it He who created men?"

He risked the ultimate on a gamble, so they say. Lotta truth in the statement. Not sure if he's winning or not, but I think it's early in the game.
(I will not get into my hypotheses on the big J. Don't let me do that. )

Why is it irrational for a God to desire a persoanl relationship with us? He knew you before he creted the world. He knows when a sparrow falls...He knows the number of hairs on your head...
...Which is a pretty good trick since my hair number changes daily

I know we have some Muslim posters, and they've seemed to find a certain peace with gambing despite the Qur'an's exhortations against the behavior. I'm curious if we have members of Christian sects that similarly prohibit gambling, such as some Baptist congregations and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) do.
As a bisexual Catholic I've had to devote a lot of thought to what it means to belong to a group which professes some beliefs/constraints that I find personally incompatible with a happy and meaningful life. I'd be interested in hearing how others are able to deal with this conundrum.
rouge, for what its worth iam missionary baptist, and yes they will not tolerate it.i dont think anything is wrong with it as long as the bills, and family come first.
