    Is this scenario 100% legal????
I run an ad in the local newspapers advertising for openings in a FANTASY SPORTS LEAUGE for those that want to play in leagues with entry fees ranging from $100 per team to $2000..............with 100% payback minus what a fantasy league software would cost to run the leauge(very minimal).

I or another third party would hold the funds for payouts at the conclusion of the leagues at the same convention hall or place where the group first met.

The reason I ask this is because I want to invest at least $20,000 in various fantasy money leagues next football season or in other various sports as I feel I have a significant edge over the majority that would enter and thus making this highly +EV

Also, any suggestions on how to attack other MONEY LEAGUES around the country and on various websites would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    FH

Also, I would like to suggest that SBR operate some type of fantasy football league next year with perhaps a reputable third party holding the funds............TheRX is running a terriffic free fantasy contest through BetJamaica/Realtime Fantasy Sports that is absolutely terriffic.

FANTASY SPORTS for money is 100% legal in the United States except in a few states.

        100% legal

What I'm asking is whethere a person can arrange a big money league at a local meeting place and hold the funds or something similar............I see why not if all the parties involved agree. Not that I'm doing this, just brainstorming here and also why I'm asking if anyone else has any other good ideas on how to properly invest a large sum of money into fantasy leagues.

I play by the rules set forth by the United States, my home country.

The majority of attorneys have no clue on the legality of sports betting, fantasy leagues, or gambling income tax.

third party holding funds should be a bank account or short-term CD. No clue whether this would be legal or not

Fishaaay, why not go for it? Then if we see State of Florida vs. Fishaaaaaaaaay you can set the precedent on the matter and help future degens know EXACTLY what the law is.

I would first check into your true operational costs for operating your own fantasy website, i.e., legally obtaining the player stat feeds so you don't have to manually input the numbers.

Those sites abound on the internet...........for less then $100 per league.

I love the site that TheRX/betjam is using for the league I'm currently in and would probably use their software package.........
