    Anyone play on Cake Poker?
Deposited $200 there this weekend just to experiment with some tournaments and see how the action was. I really liked their site, great customer service, and the players were definitely weak. Actually lost all my money because I kept thinking I could bluff, but would get called by like 3rd or 4th pair. Very loose players, just sit back and wait for a good hand and you can make money...

This is their best time of year along with Bodog because of sportsbook players doing poker.

Cake poker doesnt allow PT or HEM which could be a good or bad thing.

I hope you signed up to get rakeback first.

What other two sites are you comparing this experience to? Pokerstars and FullTilt? How did you do there?

cake poker is obv much softer than stars or full tilt , but i never really liked their software and lack of active players during my playing hours.
I think i've played there for 1 month at best, but you should def go for a rakeback deal, if you like their site.

Pokertracker is a poker tracking software, which keeps track of your opponents and their stats.
Hem is Holdem Manager, which is basically the same i guess.

yes I was referring to those 2... I did OK at full tilt and Poker Stars was a shit show in my opinion... Even the 2/4 no limit games were still just as loose as the $.25/$.50 games... I felt like there was so many bad beats it just wasnt possible.

I did NOT get that feeling with Cake over the weekend. Its a small sample size, but I probably logged 12 hours of play and the hand results felt very NORMAL, and not overly skewed ya know? I did not feel this way when playing on Stars, I felt going all in with Aces vs 1 opponent I was going to lose more than 50% of the time...

I think Cake isnt compatible with these programs if I read the reviews on another site correctly. Does this software really help? I am very new to online poker, have just dabbled the last couple years, nothing serious at all. I prefer live play, but with my work and school schedule it has been tough, but I still need to play. It really is the only thing I truly enjoy and could see myself doing for the rest of my life...

                Is that weird?

it really depends on your style of play ,
if you are multi-tabling 6+ tables playing nl 100 or higher , pokertracker is an absolute must have imo,
if you are only playing about 4 tables, dont worry about it, you should have plenty of time observing your opponents on your own without using pt.

No, I play 3 tables in a ring game at the most and then maybe 1 tournament while that is going on. 4 tables at the most is all I get into... I try not to spend too much money because I still enjoy live games so much more and dont want to dent by bankroll. I am probably a career loser overall in online play, but win roughly 75% of the time in live games for some reason...

Just took a look on Sharkscope for you, Cake is on there, so it is tracked.
