How is UTEP destroying the #12 team in the country?
They routinely get beat by 50, is Houston #12 ranking just a joke or are they throwin this game?

Perhaps Houston thought they only had to show up to win.

If you don't look at rankings and spreads the actual game is played by 11 men facing another 11 men with the sole purpose of winning the game which means anything is possible.

Houston, Boise, TCU, even Mia (FL) good to see change in the rankings and more parity although Boise is not new to the top tier in rankings. S Fla, Cincy & BYU.

Boise should be out of the top 25 after tonight. Not a "BCS" type performance.

They are undefeated and have some very strong performances, no team has been great every week.
UC Davis has played well against 1a opponents before as well, the line was wrong but that does not mean they played that bad.

Down 17 with 9 mins left is not lookin good, UTEP was absolutely horrible last week lost 64-7 to Texas just didnt see them knocking out the 12th ranked team but this is football so congrats to the Miners just not sure what they were doin the rest of the season

Um... UC Davis lost 51-0 at Fresno this season. Today's game should not have even been remotely competitive.

last year UC Davis lost both of their games agains 1A teams by only a FG. Anything can happen in one game, Boise is definitely a top 10 team.
and of course Boise blew out that Fresno team on the road, you have to play the games the best team is not going to always win or win by the amount they would on average.

If Oregon keeps winning games by large margins, BOISE STATE deserves at least a top six ranking...........

They only played one FBS team last year, which was SJSU the last game of the year. (SJSU is terrible) UC Davis is absolutely brutal, and they would most likely lose by 60+ against teams such as USC, OU, Miami, etc...

Is this one of those classic bets when some people say, "I made the right play but lost the bet" or some other bullshit?
I bet on Houston. It was the wrong play.

Houston was a bit of a fake. They played a couple of great games and thought they could just show up and get a W. They dont have USC or even UCLA talent. If they dont play great even a dog like UTEP will run with them. Being ranked 12th was a joke. I saw 3 UTEP games before this one and they are as sorry of a team as one could imagine. I think we could organize a team of posters and probably beat them.

It's called an emotional letdown. They were coming off a hard fought home win vs Texas Tech.Case in point last week these teams played close games, but ended up losing and they were Indiana lost by 3 to Michigan,Clemson lost by 4 to TCU,Mississippi State lost by 4 to LSU and were stopped at the goal line late in that game,UNLV lost by 3 at Wyoming,Arizona State lost by 3 at Georgia,Purdue lost by 3 to Notre Dame and Florida Atlantic who lost at home by 2 to La Monroe. My point is it's difficult for a team to come back from a tough loss or in Houston's case a tough win and get up emotionally for the next game.Betting against teams that fit the catergory(Indiana,Clemson,Mississippi State,UNLV,Purdue,Florida Atlantic, and Houston) and you would have went 7-0.Go against teams that lost tough games the week before and you'll find yourself winning more then losing.Virginia Tech much like Houston was in a similar situation at Duke as they played uninspired and only won by 8 after defeating Miami.Teams that lose close games this week were Georgia,Purdue,Minnesota(there playing Purdue at home, but I would side with Minnesota here as Purdue is coming off two tough losses,Iowa State,Ball State,Marshall,Colorado State,Air Force,Michigan, and Washington.

College is very predictable if you limit your bets..... but when there's 200 games on Saturday it gets hard..... JJ see my NCAAF thread for the 3 bets that won..... and yes UTEP was one of them.
