For the first week at least, there are going to be plenty of overs. I'm almost willing to call a lock that there will be more overs in the first week of hockey then there will be unders. Defenses are seeing some of their first action that counts, home openers, teams get nervous, and defenses always are prone to making more mistakes earlier in the season. They need to make adjustments, which will probably take a week or so to even out the overs and the unders.

Seriously, the defensive zone coverage is usually weak early in the season. How soon before we see the odd 6.5 o/u line.
