I simply found it and then asked if there was notification. If a business decision has been made that is understandable.

One would think a simple memo: Starting Oct.2, all first posts will be worth 4 points would suffice. Just as if there was an adjustment in points to redeem something.

SBR probably didn't realize how fast shipping charges were gonna rack up on items in the store. 63 points = 1 SBR glass, and shipping is over $7 on that alone. Gotta be costing alot to ship this choice stuff. Hey look I got 63 points, well time for another sweet SBR glass.

Look at the official SBR points thread you will see Lou updated Dozer's post to reflect the change. Lou dropped the ball by not making an announcement about the change. He should of known the point whores would be all over this.

I'm not really disappointed but it makes my jumpy on whether or not to hold onto my points and hope to get a big prize one day or just keep ordering small stuff as by the time I get enough for a ps3 or a macbook, etc the system vanishes and I am THEN disappointed.

I am sure they will alert everyone in enough time if they do away with the point system. I don't think it will happen though, they are here to stay.

They should keep it at 5 & 2 as it's much easier for to count by 7's than 6's or they could add 1 point, upping it to three, for the loyalty posting instead of the two - either way, 7's are better than sixes.

I would spend and buy the smaller stuff. You could collect points for a year to buy something for 15,000 points only to see them raise the cost to 25,000. Not worth it.

Something like this will be constantly evolving as anything new and of this nature would. Proper communication is all that is needed for it to succeed.

I've been tempted many times to get some beer glasses as I already have won multiple shirts from contests.

But at 7 pts a day vs. 6 it will take 14.28% longer to earn a prize and when looking at a Dell Mini 10 for instance 6250 spread out over time sucks.

Just remember I'm not bitching. I posted before points, and if it ever happens I will post after points.

I have not spent any points, but it's not because I think I'll actually be able to get something good before the points system is abolished. It's because I don't need any of the smaller stuff.

No interest in goggles or a lostache, and I have a beer coozy, glass, mug, three t shirts, an SBR cap, the Nike bag, a moneyclip, a deck of cards, and whatever else came with the generous package won by the winner of the MLB totals contest.

Instead, I'll just use the points to gamble with.

Yeah I noticed since you bought something your points have stayed in the teens on average..I finally put together a 4-5 game run to get to 125
