1. Text messages(totally uncalled for and unprofessional)
2. Ungraded wagers(see sportsbook forum)
3. Policy changes
Until we get a clearer picture, stay away.
This is an advertiser at SBR, I'm sure SBRJOHN is pissed as heck at what is happening surrounding this book.
JJGOLD, what are your thoughts on this operation at this time????
What are you talking about?Text messages are a part of their PDA program (READ the terms and conditions).
What policy changes? My wagers get graded within seconds.

I think they should really consider dumpster diving an event in the x games. Anyone else feel the same way?

When you use points in the SBR store to purchase something, you are asked for your phone number each time.

I'm keeping track. A few dozen more, and there going to owe me a $50 free play. Come to think of it, a few more texts, and I'll stop playing Black Jack there.

They called me today and asked why I opened an acct with them if I'm not going to deposit. I told them it was for a contest on sbr and the guy said "I'm sorry we shouldn't have called you"

If you are half as good as you think you are , an account there is mandatory. And they won't call you anymore after you bet for a while, but they will actually let you keep betting.

Got two texts today. Had been getting a couple calls per month, but I don't care. I have caller ID. I haven't used Bookmaker in a while simply because their lines SUCK.

Text messages are dangerous because if you cannot delete them completely right away and there is incriminating evidence there, what if the the wrong person may be able and read them? Assume you have an accident before getting to them and your family, pastor, kids, wife, gfriend, law enforcement etc... has your phone while you are in hospital? This isn't just a gambling business issue, but anything that you may be involved with which you don't want to share with the wrong persons.

It might be just heavy marketing tool, I would not be concerned at all.

It's the principal of the goddamn thing!
I have a feeling we are going to start recieving texts from other books as well.
Someone as reported in this thread that DSI has done so.............this is an alarming trend that has to STOP RIGHT NOW!
What the hell are these shops thinking??????

I got one too yesterday, and I never text. No biggie, but they also sent one to my wifes phone(in my name), and that wasnt cool. She forwarded it to our carrier, and they said they would take care of it. Whatever that means.

It's many books policy (bookmaker and pinnacle to name two) to not grade futures wagers until the season is over. Always been like that.
He was whining about futures wagers on an incomplete season not being graded?
I don't know if the guy bets but he has been hanging around players on forums for at least 8 years and he hasn't picked up even the basic rules of betting. Ugh. Square central.

Thing is, that text message they sent me cost them 5,000 in deposits I was going to send them on their Phil Steele bonus offer in the coming two weeks.
