I was watching King of the Hill last night when I was reminded of our beloved and dear friend Pico. Khan desperately wanted Connie to get into summer school at Rice University but such was not meant to be. Connie was just your "typical Asian student," according to the head of the summer program at Texas' finest university. She was a great musician, best in her class, best at every subject but gym, exceptionally articulate for her age, etc.
Khan goes on to lose it and ends up giving hedonism, Texas redneck style, a try for a month or so. Poor bastard ends up in foreclosure. This is a complete 180 from what we would typically expect of Khan. Connie ends up at some loser college in California (Stanford).
I turned off the TV and got to thinkin' about our dear Pico. Here he finds himself, now 40/50 years old, posting on a message board with degenerates and groveling for a type of monopoly money (SBR points). I can't help but think that somewhere out there Pico's parents are scratchin' their heads and wonderin' why their son isn't the head of a hedge fund, orchestra, accounting firm or some successful conglomerate.
Pico, wtf happened in your life? Let's really delve deep here and get it all out. Let's unveil all of your psychoneurosis. To quote another very famous doctor, "I'm listening."
