Dodgers is a solid team, but they played in Pittsburgh yesterday and this was totally meaningless game for them. Playoff berth is secured, so games like this doesn't always motivate a veteran team to give much.

I had Padres today for a small bet, so pleased it played out like this.

True, but they only need 1 win their remaining 4 games, or alternatively 1 loss by the Rockies (5 remaining) to cinch it. They play last 3 vs Colorado at home, but they should get the job done barring a miracle.

You're right, the Dodgers will most likely win the division, but stranger things have happened. I'm sure Torre would have liked to have clinched it over the weekend. He can't be happy with his teams recent results.

Does it really mean anything in bases if a team is flat the last week o f the season heading into the playoffs?? All they need is a few well pitched games and they can advance.
