I know there aren't many hockey fans here, but just thought I'd pass this along...
As you know, DirecTV had a falling out with Comcast so they don't get Versus anymore. This means missing some hockey games for DirecTV owners. So apparently they have the green light in their system to give discounts to people with Center Ice!
I just called them and said "Hey, I saw you renewed my Center Ice package, but I'm missing a bunch of games now, are you guys doing anything about that?" She said yes, we are, I can give you $50 off.
Not bad at all for something I was never ever going to give up anyway
. I'm sure if you want to get creative with the whole "Bah, thats not enough, fvck you guys I'm going to Dish" scene you could get even more, but no-effort no-headache just call and tell them you arent happy with the package anymore since Versus is gone and they'll help you out.
