I will be pulling for the BEARS............but not wagering the game.
Anyone have thoughts on this game?

First time poster here, long time lurker! Live in SF and will be at this game - line opened at -6 SC, and has since moved to -4.5 (probably news on Stafon Johnson and LB Malcolm Smith and his backup Jordan Campbell both having an ankle sprain contributed). SC hasn't looked too great as of late, and Cal just looked awful on Saturday. I find that big SC games always has pro-SC line-movement in the last few days (too many rich SC alumni betting on the game) so in general, better to bet early if you're on USC - thinking of putting maybe a 110 or 220 bet @-4.5 today to have action while there live, but not too confident in this one....

Cal + the points and Cal moneyline.
The way Cal played Saturday reminded me of how Florida stste played against J'ville State, and then next week Florida St. came out and drilled BYU. I think CAL was looking ahead BIG TIME last week. I think Cal wins this game handily.

cal looks to be the sharps play. if and IF USC wins it will only be by a field goal, there offense isnt great they play very sloppy and there defense overpursues and can easily give up the big play. USC is overrated im really surprised the public is on cal so far i was expecting the line to finish around 7 not 4

Me and my friend (went to SC) thought the same thing - we bought 2 points today on USC to get in @ -2.5pts (-150: $225 for $150 each).... I usually stick to playing MLB, but this should be a fun game to be at and it's always way more fun having a little action when attending games live....
Otherwise, I wouldn't be betting on this game - pretty worried about SC's linebacker situation: Malcolm Smith is probably out (younger brother of Giants Steve Smith and is a stud), his backup Jordan Campbell sprained his ankle, and the third string backup hurt his back. Looks like SC's going to play backup safety Shane Horton at LB, who's good, but very raw - not much depth at LB to start the season....
