They have 96 losses with 7 games remaining: 4 at Chicago and 3 at Cincinnati.
I would wager that they don't lose 100 games.

Shortstop, in order for the Pirates to lose less than 100 games, they have to go at least 4-3 down the stretch and with all of their games being on the road, the chances of a 100 loss season for the Pirates has to be considered likely.

We'll see. Going 4-3 against the Cubs and Reds at this point of the season is very attainable in my opinion.

They're playing well Tartan. Last I saw the Buccos are +230 tonight in Chicago.

Yeah.. win last night and rather decent games in the series against Dodgers i believe... They got nothing to lose maybe that fact can push em´ forward..
Does Cubs have anything to play for tonight?

they will most likely lose 100.
I'd say they wind up at 100 or 101.

Reds have been very well the last two months, I highly doubt the Pirates wont reach the century mark

Reds are 8-2 against the Pirates since August 1, and are 8-0 in their last 8 contests

The Pirates are "due" against both clubs, that's my logic.

Looks like the Pirates are refusing to lose 100 this year. Someone could have made some nice cash backing them today for their sweep at Wrigley.

Pirates parlay on Wednesday would've paid out very nicely.
+956, using BetOnline's closing lines.

Rained Out in the Windy City tonight. If the Buccos get swept by the lowly Reds this weekend, they deserve to lose 100 games.

they probably would've won that game, too, making it a sweep in Wrigley.
They waited almost three hours, but no dice for the game.

They're not losing 100 this year. Pirates are playing good ball right now.
