#6My first gambling win was a +900 hit for a couple of hundred which I proceeded to run up to 3 thousand and then 7 out probably 25 times in a row at sportbetting.com which of coarse has no relation to this book or Jazette overall (insert sarcasm). Needless to say, I don't need my casinos disabled---hard (no pun) lesson learned.Comment -

#8I cringe reading that because it brings back some very bad memories for me. I wish to god I had never started playing in those online casinos. Because once I did that ugly, inner "action junkie" took over. I lost thousands of dollars and even worse a lot of self esteem. I'll also never know how profitable a handicapper I could have been were it now for the thousands I lost playing online blackjack. It was my weakness and I take full responsibility. But you still wonder what if you know?.Originally posted by geebert744-5 years ago I lost $3800 in the casino... I did not feel very well after that... Took me awhile to trust an online book again. I don't mean to come off as melodramatic but if I can help one person stay away from an online casino, then that's the best thing I can do, If they won't block the casino move on to one that will. There are a lot of reputable books that will limit your gambling to strictly sports.
I've been with 5Dimes and I told them about my previous struggles. They blocked it when I made my first deposit and I've been with them ever since.
Good Luck. I'm pulling for you. And to the others just know how envious I am of all of you who were and are able to keep it all sports, all the time.Comment -

#13That's not the issue the OP is talking about. That would be no different than an employee making wagers. It would or should all be logged. If a book was that desperate for money, there is larger issues at hand.Originally posted by duritothe issue here is that they had an incident a few years ago where they had an employee sign in to a few players accounts and lose all their money in the casino.Comment -

#19It's the name alone that is keeping them in business. people wanting to gamble online but don't know about SBR or online gambling in general at all, will most likely go to google and search "online sportsbook" or words to that effect. I'm sure SPORTSBOOK.COM appears more often than not.Comment -

#21Thats percisely what they want. Catch an unsuspecting player into depositing and losing his balance, then moving on elsewhere. IMO, I just cannot see a book called SPORTSBOOK.COM going out of business even if they are rated F- here on SBR.Originally posted by Jimmy0607Tbgame that's exactly what happened to me when I started I google , sports betting online, online sportsbooks, online bets and the first link that comes up in every search is sb.com , they have a nice website and all that so everything just catches the eye
The name and site alone will attract a LOT of business.
I used to work for their CS (the jazette family) and I saw a lot of players sigining up and within a month, have depositing thousands and lost it all. The Casino been the worst culprit or people placing RIDICOLOUS bets.Comment -

Some sites do offer a 'self exclusion' program where you can limit your daily/weekly/monthly deposit limits or close your account for a period of time.Comment -

#25No one should be playing there, but they did get a prime name, they rank highly in Internet searches, and the design looks good enough to draw people in.
They have a good location, but the service is bad.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#31all online casinos rob you. i only use online wagering for sports betting. although i took a loss on internet roullette with sportsbook.com.....oh well. if i ussed the casino i pretty much asked to get my money taken..lol....but sportsbook.com is a good book in my opinion. there are many people who use it without issues at different forums. really depends on your situation. everyone has different opinions.
