That music reminds me so much of New Orleans hhsilver. If you've not been or don't live there already you need to do one or the other at some point in your life since you enjoy this music. I like the Blues sound to some of Tegarden's work, heard in that tribute vid, he sure had a sweet deeply heartfelt sound and style.

Jazz is a theme to Bourbon Street, pours out the clubs and especially the one that was on the corner of Bourbon and St. Peter Street...I lived on St. Peter Street. From my front door: One direction was Rampart Street and the projects (now decimated as result of Katrina I believe) the other direction was Bourbon Street.

There was always only one direction really worth heading.

zubzub, you're right to say I should visit/live there. And I did live there for 7 years. I have many good memories and one big bad one - Katrina and its aftermath.
Bourbon St is no longer a hub for good jazz. There is still some but it doesn't dominate like once did.
