Going to NYC for 2 days next week. Need itinerary
I don't even know where to start. I haven't been to NYC since I was a kid.... maybe 8 years old. I barely remember it. I'm flying up Monday morning and leaving Wednesday morning. My sister moved to Hoboken a couple months ago and this is the first time I've gotten a chance to get up there.

So I need help if anyone is willing to give it. Are there any places I just HAVE to go to or see? I'm completely wide open here other than dinner reservations at Gramercy on Monday night. That's even flexible as I'm wavering on whether I want to drop $400 in one restaurant. We might put that off until next time when she and her boyfriend can help foot the bill. Anyway, I have a week to plan for two days in the city and I'll take any advice I can get.

Man, two days is awful short to see the city. Main reason I go to NYC these days is to catch ball games so it's never difficult to plan my stay: Watch Mets, drink, eat, watch Yankees, drink, eat, repeat.

I took in the Museum of Natural History to kill time between ballgames my last visit. Strolling through Central Park is always a nice, cheap thing to do. Go to Connolly's for great Irish fare and good live music. Joe's Pub down in the East Village is another great place to catch live music. I could spend two days in the big library (the one of Fifth Ave), wonderful building.

Jello, I was there last week and amby and I will be there this weekend. Grab a pastrami sandwich at Katz's Deli in the lower east side. Delicious! As far as pizza goes I recommend Lombardi's (invented pizza) or Johnny's Pizza on Bleeker. What days will you be there?

I like Pizza Box on Bleecker St. for a typical thin NYC slice.

Thanks for the responses fellas. I will be staying in Hoboken, JJ. I seemed to have misplaced your number though. You can pm it to me if you like. I'd love to buy you a beer. Same with you blitty. Are you going to still be around Monday? I fly into Laguardia at 9 or 10 Monday morning. And Willie, I will definitely try to stop by Connolly's. Thanks again.
