example of why the BCS rankings will ALWAYS be sucky...

When you start out higher in the poll like 1, 2,3,4,5,6... voters won't move you back THAT far when you lose, even if you haven't played well for weeks, or have an easy sched. and when you start out unranked.... you gotta do a whole hell of alot to get INTO the rankings and then moving up is hard too... because even when you beat a team...they STILL get ranked higher then you.


they need to get rid of preseason rankings..... preseason rankings gives certain teams head starts.... if you get ranked high like PSU, you were given an unfair head start... and when you are unranked in preseason you are given an unfair late start.... that you can't even overcome by beating a team on the road.

preseason rankings play a huge part into the end of the year rankings, and really its just an uneducated guess not based at all on on field performance

There should be no polls until the 1st week of October, get rid of all the bullshit that is involved in moving teams down. Coaches have no incentive to move teams down from their conferences, especially with the money that goes to the conferences when their teams make the BCS games.
