    Sure seems like it...

    Both are/were

    great coaches
    big guys
    ramble a lot
deviate into stories that are totally irrelevant
usualy off by a few seconds in describing plays
get plays wrong an inordinate amount of times
    over compliment coaches
bachelors (one lives in a trailor the other in a hotel room)
seem like guys you could have a beer with

Being a UNLV fan, I cant stand Rick Majarus. The cry baby pulled to get the WAC/MWC tournament out of Vegas. It did for a few years in Denver, but it didnt work out there. So its back home this year.

I dont think I could have a beer with that fat azz.

      I love Majerus.

I love how he makes fun of himself.
I love how he tells a story, you have no clue what he is talking about, and you still enjoy it.
I love how he narrates a replay that isn't on the screen.
I love how he says "offense" like "O Fence".
I love how he is in the middle of a sentence as it goes to commercial.
I love this quote that he said when Kentucky was blowing out somebody a couple years ago, "Well, there's not much to look forward to from here on out, so I'm trying to find Ashley Judd in the crowd. It beats the adult videos at the hotel."

He is pretty good and adds humour to the broadcast and was a good coach.

Pretty sure Madden is married with kids/grandkids. Unless he got divorced. You'd never know he's married because he never mentions his wife/kids/grandkids, which is the way it should be. Many announcers say "my wife, my kids." Who cares. Call the game.
