If you have a laptop to TV cord, it may automatically recognize it and you are 'good to go'. Obviously not permanent solution.

Yep. Everyone I talk to that has bought one, has come to the conclusion that netbooks are just too small, and not worth it, even though you can get them for just a couple hundred dollars. Nice phone + 350dollar laptop is best way to go.
