I don't know anything about the Bersa.
If you want my advice, get the Kahr .380 if you have some money to spend. If not go to the Rugar site and check out the new sub compact they have. Small and much better quality than the Keltec.

I personally own a Bersa .380, very reliable gun, concealable, a bit loud to my taste but that adds to the intimidation factor of the shot.
Very good gun overall and well priced, I would recommend it for personal defense and practice shooting. It is very similar in look and feel to the Walther .380 and PPK, you can`t go wrong with that little boy.
Check these reviews if you want to read a bit more about the gun:
I´m jealous of you guys. Here in Sweden we´re not allowed to carry and non the less own a juicy gun (you can own if you hunt or is active in a shooting club...but that does not qualify for the heavy cool guns). Its in other words very restricted here. Well.. at least I have a air gun
you are jealous of the us citizens, because they are allowed to carry guns ??
how dumb is that

I too graduated from a beretta years ago to a glock
I dont know what license the other fellow is talking about?
In Florida its called CWP for concealed weapons permit
the last 2 times I tried to empty off my glock mags..it got jammed half way
this can be a life or death issue one day..not sure if it is the mags or the weapon or the loading of the mag
I carry when I feel necessary..I am not gonna stand back and quiver when some monkey throws a spark plug through my window and him and his apes try to rob me
If I feel short fused..I leave it at home..my fellow humans ignorance really frustrates me at times

This is an incredibly broad, blanket, naive statement.
Maybe I'm missing something. Is it a quote from a movie?

22 is accurate, but no stoping power. The bullet will bounce all through the persons body. No get a 380. Used is ok, but get it from a gun dealership.

I was talking more about a gun you could fit in your front jeans pocket.
Keltec .380 and Kahr .380 can easily be carried that way.
The baby Glock and sub compact sig are too big to be carried that way.
If were talking full size, I would say Sig or H&K .40 cal
I know next to nothing about how firearms actually perform in real life.....
In the $400 (and under) price range, whats a fail-and-fool proof, reliable-even-in-less -than-ideal-conditions sub-compact gun that has DETERRENCE power as well as FIRE POWER ?
Something tried and tested in the field you know !!
[ In the compact category CZ P-01 is very formidable firearm from what I've heard ]

By DETERRENCE POWER I mean the following:
A firearm known for its
# Damage - PROVEN track record of inflicting some serious flesh wounds
# Stopping power - meaning that the assailant KNOWS he just cant brush away the bodily damage caused and make a getaway from the scene after being hit
# Single shot lethality - meaning that often a single shot is KNOWN to be nearly fatal if not always so
again if that is too much to ask from a SUB COMPACT GUN please do STATE SO instead of offering a choice that doesn't conclusively meet those needs.
I will be extremely pleased if I dont ever have to ACTUALLY FIRE A SHOT and rather the NOTORIETY of the weapon I wield do the job for me - most of the time if not always !!
