I think so. Lester pitched well his last start out against the Yankees. Chamberlain has been progressively worse and worse over the last month and a half. Red Sox did not play as well as they should of in KC, blowing one big lead and losing another. Yankees are now coming off a West Coast trip. I think the Red Sox favored in Yankee Stadium tell you enough in this one.

totally agree, joba is the most overrated pitcher on that team and if he played on a team that has a hard time scoring runs.he would either be in the bullpen or the minors.this is the one game they will win

Staying away. Sox got the better pitcher but yankees at home I'll never fade.

Lester has typically brought his best against the Yankees, who've never beaten him. Since the start of last season, He's 3-0 with a 1.90 ERA in six starts versus New York, with Alex Rodriguez going 2 for 13 (.154) against Lester. Robinson Cano is 2 for 18 (.111) in that same stretch.

He'll try to extend it against Joba Chamberlain, who is still looking for his first victory since Aug. 6. The right-hander, put on a strict innings limit by the Yankees late in his first full season as a starter, is 0-4 with an 8.42 ERA in his last eight outings.

Home field or not the pitching matchup overwhelmingly favors Boston - Boston 1st 5 innings.
