#18guy doesnt understand that any negative remarks stem from either face to face, text or phone conversations that he had with guys who wouldnt loan him money. actually, nothing that bad has been said except that he went out there unprepared and really has no business living out there with the gambling that he likes to do. we know he hasnt been posting. we know he never mentioned names on the board. theres a handful of guys who he sent text to or talked to on the phone and when they told him "no", he acted like they were nothing more than a 2-face. so yes, its true that he never "posted" anything bad about anyone, but that certainly doesnt mean that he didnt talk shit about people either in person, text or over the phone. when you make statements like " you are on my shit list and you know who you are", thats a dead giveaway that words with others have been spoken. just because he never said shit over the forum, obviously doesnt mean some shit hasnt been said. the innocent act is just that, an act.
bottom line, casper fukked up and apparently has had some shitty luck as well. he knows this and i doubt any more needs to be said about it. i sincerely hope that he doesnt think people are 2-faced or not a friend because they didnt loan him money...while he was in vegas...the gambling mecca of the world. know what im sayin.
hopefully his job works out well for him and vegas turns out to be all he thought it would. sounds like the guy has had a rough way of it so far and i hope it all gets back on track for him.Comment -

Like I said, delusions of grandeur. I actually think Kinger does a good job asking questions, my only question though would have been - Who the fvck cares? I mean....seriously. It's embarrassing already. You live in a freaking shelter a month after moving to Vegas. You were hitting up posters on a message board for loans and crying about it when they turned you down. You wanted to know if anyone could hook you up with a "shylock". And now you are doing a half hour interview and I don't know why I should care at all about any of this self-inflicted drama. Don't go away mad, just go away please.Comment -

#27LOL! I guess it's time to tell my side of the Casper story. This might get long, sorry in advance.
For the sake of full disclosure, the last minute or so of that 2nd interview is about me, parts of it at least - I'm the one who showed up to the bash with very little cash after spending 3 weeks in the US with no way of cashing the checks that were piling up at home (my main source of income is from a one-man-shop I own and run and my clients all pay by paper check). A bit disorganized and financially irresponsible? Yes, that would be me.
So I had to take out two chunks of $2,500 from my SIA account during my 3-week vacation, which ended up costing me twice my budgeted amount. The second withdrawal took over a week to be processed, so I had someone send $300 by Moneygram to tide me over until the SIA money arrived.
Is this embarrassing to admit? Yes, but bear with me, I'm going somewhere with this.
So I spent the whole Thursday Aug. 20 afternoon with Casper at the Planet Hollywood sportsbook, admitted that I was technically broke at that very moment, and we both laughed at our common pathetic situation. During that time, he gave me quite a few drink tickets he had earned with his betting action. When the drink tickets ran out, we bought each other a round ($16 for a cranberry vodka and a Heineken). Casper may have bought an extra round of $2 Bud Lights afterwards... I don't remember who footed the 4-dollar check. I went to the Moneygram office and came back to shoot the shit some more with Casper and Amby, who had arrived by then.
That was pretty much the extent of my interaction with Casper for the whole bash. We talked a few times during the festivities, but Casper didn't hang out for any prolonged period of time with our group.
On the morning I was flying out, Casper calls me. We shoot the shit a bit and he ends up asking me if I can lend him $200. We meet up and I give him what I have left in my wallet ("don't bother paying me back, I got no use for that weird American money") minus 20 bucks I keep to eat at the airport. That was 60 bucks.
My only point here is to state facts. Casper gave me drink tickets, we bought each other some overpriced drinks, and he ended up asking me for money, contrary to what he states in that 2nd interview.
When I got home, the infamous texts started coming in.
(Gotta go back to work for now, but I'll add to this thread later today. I like Casper contrary to what he may think, but he is a sick gambler and needs to get out of Vegas ASAP - will explain why)Comment -

#30Then I don't think Casper lost his stuff on the bus... If he lied about Matt he can lie about some bus incident.
I think he lost money gambling more than he should have. He made a story about getting off a bus to buy a soda and chips, and made sure to leave the wallet on the bus because that makes sense...
Wallets are too heavy to bring with you when you buy chips and a soda. You should leave them on the bus.Comment -

#31If a man goes to buy a soda and chips, how does he pay?
He uses money and money is stored in wallets.
If I go buy a burger at lunch, I would bring my wallet so I can purchase it with money or maybe even a credit/debit cardComment -

#32Wow...I love that I was brought up in this interview so much. I LOL'd at the sexual encounter thing.....but I am trying to figure out why he thinks I have animosity toward him. I haven't talked to him since the bash and all i said in previous posts is that things about stories don't add up. I am one of those people that thinks things follow logical patterns and if I think it doesn't follow something that is plausible I am going to call bullshit.
Casper and I did meet up at Turning stone and we had dinner and drinks. I offered more than once to pay for AT LEAST my share of the bill that night and Casper wouldn't allow me. I thanked him graciously as it was definitely a nice gesture but he makes it sound like I couldn't afford it....unreal.
I am glad to hear hes doing alright. I hope nothing but the best for the guy but I agree with others when they say, I don't Vegas is the right place for this kid. I could be wrong....and I have before but to me him and that city just doesn't seem wise.Comment -

#33Not sure why everyone is fascinated by the train/bus and stolen stuff story. To me, it's completely irrelevant. So he lied.
[House M.D.]People lie, that's what they do.[/House M.D.]
What freaked and still freaks me out about Casper is his mindless determination to make money by gambling on decidedly -EV stuff. I saw him "play hunches" (his words) on horses at the GN sportsbook. He told me he did well at sports one night but "was killed by roulette". Any aspiring pro gambler knows to steer clear of both these games unless there's a +EV promo involved, a biased wheel, a fixed race, whatever. If you don't understand that you can't make money at a game with 37 or 38 outcomes and a 35-1 payout, you're either a complete moron or a pathological gambler who thinks it'll all magically happen to him. I don't think Casper is the former.
I told him to his face: dude, focus on sports, poker or blackjack (if you count cards). The rest will kill you. His reply?
"Well, it's always worked for me."
Visibly, Casper. Yeah.
Get the **** out of Vegas, buddy. I feel like bitchslapping the hell out of you for not listening to any of us, your "fake" friends.Comment -
