    Mangini is a disaster
Oh please Mr. Lerner just call it like it is...it's so obvious that Mangini epitomizes failure...the players hate him...the fans hate him...the whole freaking city hates him.

This hire was a huge mistake. I know it's tough to swallow your pride, sir, but you own two of the world's most gloried teams: the Cleveland Browns and Aston Villa...thus you clearly have tremendous financial resources.

I understand, even if only to save face, that you feel the need to keep Mangini for a few seasons at least...but please, for the greater good, swallow your pride, admit that you blundered, and fire this schmuck ASAP.

2 games into the season? Theres the typical patience of a casual fan.

Of course the fans hate him, he hasn't won yet. He just took over the team and you think you're going to the Super Bowl? Crennel ruined your team, give him some time to fix it, christ.

The players hate him...who cares? How do you think the Giants feel about Tom Coughlin? Results matter, I'd rather have a coach that doesn't give a shit what his players think of him than one who's trying to win a popularity contest.

Me a "casual fan?" I've lived & died Cleveland Browns for 35 years...I've seen it all and lived it all

Crennel, as weak of a head coach as he was, certainly didn't ruin this team...Lerner's son, seemingly w/out an ounce of savvy, and Savages horrendous drafts, dug this team, with his impatient decision-making, into a hole which is now just simply dreary...we fans simply don't know where to even begin looking to see the light...

Who impatiently hires a head coach before hiring a GM?...That just reeks of trouble

Yeah Coughlin might have been an-ahole...but he had a foundation to work with

The Browns have NOTHING to work w/ going forward, and to hire a douche w/ no people skills, his only accomplishments thus far are to alienate the players and the fans, and to provide absolutely no hope for ANY future success? Please Lerner for Christ's sake bring back Marty

I was a Browns fan for 30 years, I finally pulled the plug 3 years ago - first time I have ever jumped ship on a team. That franchise is a half step ahead of the Lions in futility.....

I don't recall saying anything about a Super Bowl...

I wouldn't mind if the Browns went 0-16, as long as they showed a bit of heart and grit...something, anything to latch on going forward

I agree, Mangini is very incompetent, and he proved it already coaching NYJ
The truth is there are not too many good coaches in the NFL, They could have hired Gruden, Shanahan, Cowher is from Cleveland

              Big mistake!

I remember some years back Fischer from the Titans was on the hotseat ( God only knows why the media maybe?)...I thought he'd be the PERFECT coach for the browns...slap 'em straight into line

Anderson was an all pro QB a few years ago and really not given a good opportunity to produce since Cleveland drafted Quinn

Oh man DA was given every chance...the guy has a solid throwing arm but that is all...no awareness...no maturity...no pocket presence...no decision-making skills...no leadership skills in the huddle...checks down then checks up & throws a pick...and by the way I believe he was a Pro-Bowler not an All-Pro, huge difference

New coach, new system, new personnel. If you are a true Browns fan or a true football fan for that matter, you would show some patience. The Browns sux for years, and you expect Mangini to flick a magic wand to make the team better? Mangini is not Man-genius, but there are worse coaches out there.

I'm the truest Brown's fan there is (apart from my Dad), but I've been going to the Stadium (Municipal then CBS) since 1974 (he's been going since 1949), so I don't think patience or loyaly is an issue...I've been through the lowest and been through the highest, yet I've NEVER seen a Browns team with such a lack of direction, motivation, enthusiasm, lack of talent, skill as this pathetic bunch...just for God's sake show some EFFORT on Sunday dammit
