SBR Bill Dozer reports: Gibraltar (SBR rating C-) confiscates player’s winnings from free-play wager that was awarded upon sign-up. The BetonSports family of books has been known to void bonuses, and winnings from those bonuses once deciding they no longer wish to service successful bettors. Unjust confiscation of funds was a large factor in Gibraltar’s downgrade from C to C- earlier this year although management partially reversed its decision.

#3How screwed over do new players get before they realize that there are better options than the BOS Group? Is it just me, or does it seem like the best books rarely advertise?Comment -

#4I had a long chat with Andrew, their GM. My conclusion is still the same as it was the last few complaints. There is little risk of Gib going under but if you are an advantage player they will grind you out with any possible fee, removal of bonus, and funds won from that bonus. Players can waste 3 weeks betting only to be kicked out and taking a loss. In these situation these C- books often ask "Well, what would an A+ book do?" and I tell them to check their rules. Everything is written in stone before hand and they would never reverse a bet without just cause.
The BoS books make individual decisions based on if they like the guy. It’s not enough to try to follow their written rules as this player did.Comment -
