We have been selling KDF/GAC home drinking water filters since 1998 (recommended by Dr. Weil in his book Eight Weeks to Optimum Health). We stock single, dual and triple housing systems to remove a variety of contaminants including fluoride, chlorine, bacteria, arsenic, heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium), hydrogen sulfide, THMs, MTBEs, VOCs, chloramines, sodium, nitrate, microorganisms and scale. We're located in West Bloomfield (Detroit), Michigan and specalize in municipal water filtration using KDF® media (made of copper and zinc) & GAC carbon built in the USA. GAC will remove organic materials VOCs & radon gas by a process called adsorption. Our Doulton ceramic sterasyl cartridges remove bacteria, sediment and cyst. KDF removes metals, pesticides, Trihalomethanes THMs, MTBE, and neutralizes chlorine. KDF combined with carbon (GAC or carbon block) extends the life by protecting against bacteria growth. Most systems use carbon to remove chlorine, but need replacing every 3 to 6 months--bacteria will grow in carbon. But, the copper & zinc in KDF produces zinc oxide which inhibits bacteria & extends the life to 3 years.

I am considering getting an Ecoloblue atmospheric water generator. It is a reverse osmosis water cooler that generates water from the humidity in the air. Anyone heard of it?
