I DONT BELIEVE A DAMN THING YOU SAY.WE have a player named greg elerby ,who was nicknamed the beast that played at south columbus[tabor city, north carolina]this guy broke all kinds of records here.now hes playing for the tar heels, and not a jr.colleage.a jr school would never offer a scholarship, because they know it would be a waste of time.three of the best ball players that came from around are west columbus reginald singaltery who played for the eagles pro team, willie parker.a guy who won three state titles at clinton.beat our south columbus team in the semis, and in one state game.chris wilcox[great basketball player in highschool],chester mcclouchland, and ricky shaw all three played at whiteville highschool.all broke records and all three players went on to win state ,and go to big schools, and blay pro ball.

          Hilarious post!

Do you realize the size of the high school Dallas and myself attended!?????????????

The high school opened in 1958........when I graduated in 1978, there were approximently a TOTAL of no more than 500 male students that had come through the school(25 per year).

The town I grew up in had anywhere from 99-107 residents the entire time I lived there(1960-1978).

Sorry my great athletic prowess at this school did not land me a scholarship at Penn State, LSU, or Iowa..............and I didn't end up playing for the Colts or Red Sox.

Dallas was a WALK-ON at Iowa by the way!

Junior Colleges do offer scholarships. I was offered a couple coming out of high school to play bball in bum fvck Egypt.
I didnt accept the offers and I didnt break all kinds of state records either.

              Of course they do!!

I recieved a half scholarship at the JR. COLLEGE i attended............which amounted to very little as the cost to go there then for in-state residents was peanuts. The text books as I recall were twice as much as my tuition.

I wish they would have offerred me beer money on a weekly basis, would have came out like a bandit on that.

By the way, a Dallas Clark tidbit for you........the kid has never touched alcohol.
