A few years back My wife wanted a new SUV we went and got her a 05 mercury mountaineer - in which i co-signed for the lease

about a year later went in to do some warranty work and they talking her into buying a 06-
I told her no i didn't agree and refused to co-sign for my wife.
So she bought it any way and it cost her a extra $40 a month

why would i agree to be liable for anyone elses debt other than my family or long term girlfriend?

I would not co-sign for even my best friend.
