Why is Jack Buck the face of Fox Sports?

I was thinking about this today...

I pretty much exclusively watch Big 10 football on Saturdays because that's who I am...but lately have been watching the SEC 2:30 p.m. game on CBS, simply because CBS Sports broadcasts are top notch...not only football but golf and tennis as well...they present a low-key and understated experience, letting the actual event speak for itself.

Switch to FOX's top broadcasting (be it football or baseball), and I can truly not watch w/ the sound on...Jack Buck, such a stuffed-shirt blowhard w/ that obnoxious FOX-patented vocal projection which just represents such arrogance and narcissism...

I like Aikman though,& am sorry for him...having to listen to that fool every Sunday.

Jack Buck was an amazing baseball announcer, and a very underrated football announcer. I spent many Sunday and Monday nights listening to him and Hank Stramm call a football game.
