How bad are the Lions?

I was looking back at when the last time Detroit won, and it was week 16 of 2007.
So they have lost 19 in a row now. 19 GAME LOSING STREAK!
How is a team be that bad?
I also looked further into the 2007 season, and figured out that they are 1-25 in their last 26 games. Is this franchise done? The city of Detroit is falling apart because of the economy, and people are moving out of Detroit. How can this team afford to stay in Detroit? Are the fans really that hardcore? Who would anyone want to go see them play?


*note: these are all regular season games I'm talking about.

I'm still in shock over how improbable the math of it all is.

How can an NFL team go 1-25 over that many regular season games is beyond me. With or without parity it is unreasonable to believe that there was not any good luck, breakout performances, or flat out stolen wins that wouldn't give you at least another win or 2.

The team out there this year doesn't appear to be as wretched as last years but it is a far cry from a 3-13 team.

really the nfl is the national fixed league. You just realizing that. actually Detroit is considered average they went 7-9 against the spread last in 08. Number one rule is its all about the money. Maybe they want better nfl draft picks. If they are dead last in week 16 play the money line against them in week 17.

The Chiefs may be just as bad, the Raiders are bad on paper but at least they are giving 100% with the limited talent they have.

If they were an English football team they would have been demoted a long time ago
Yesterday was a carbon copy of last year's Minny game. At least now they have the rookie QB/head coach excuse. Buys time from the fans for at least one more season. Iknow he is rookie and all but Stafford is scarily inaccurate at this stage in his career.

Stafford isn't as well as expected, Lions are the worst franchise in all of sports.

I dunno man the Raiders are looking to be pretty legit this year... at least a 6-7 win team. The Lions though, I just can't believe the lack of winning thats going on there
