Thinking of using voip or dial up for non US books
Was thinking of using VOIP or dial up to place bets at books not taking US customers..... With VOIP you can use a phone number out of Canada or anywhere else so your IP address is not coming from the US..... VOIP or dial up is not expensive......The deposits and withdrawals with a cc or debit card is what i am not sure about. Any thoughts?

Then it would be better if i opened an account in a foreign bank and provide a foreign address i guess.

This company provides Canadian VOIP numbers for about C$14 a month for basic service.

As long as you pay they don't care where your live, where your credit card is registered, or where your IP address is located.

But when he signs up with a Sportsbook and tries to deposit with a credit card, the sportsbook will know. That's how I read his original query.

I don't think the credit card is an issue. Many work/live abroad and use their home credit card. I'm a perfect example of this case and never ran into a problem with a Sportsbook.

The main issue is when they request proof of address, etc. What proof will you show?

                    Utility bill

Hopefully the sportsbook doesn't ask for one ... Hopefully neteller doesn't ask for one

These books and neteller do not want to deal with U.S. residents, regardless of where their bank accounts are located.

Just use what is available for Americans and stop trying to circumvent laws a you will just run into obstacles and fees.

You are putting yourself at risk if you are giving fake acct. details. On the technology side, I don't think VOIP works with faxes or fax modems. Last I read, faxes need more consistent flow of data than broadband has.

Nothing works long term and all you have to do is keep juggling, names, ,location, ect and eventually if you win problems will arise with payouts.

Play with credit, locals and shops that offer Americans funding options. I am tired of guys coming in here acting like nit wits thinking the world is over.

                            Get yourself:

A Can bank acct, Ontario address, Ontario cell phone, Can neteller account, Ontario drivers license, and Ontario IP address. If a book can tell you are in the states, all the more power to them...Yet to have one say a word. Diversify your money at 40 places and you are pretty darn safe.

VOIP works just as well as a cell phone but is significantly cheaper.

I'm not currently aware of any major sportsbook or ewallet that requires you to have primary id issued by the country of your residence. All that seems necessary insofar as pieces of identification go are any sort of official picture ID (US passport or driver's license OK) along with a utility bill in your name sent to your (foreign) residence address.

I do not know of any books that don't allow US ID either, but why tempt them? I have read that you can get an Ontario license if you have had one in the states for over a year.... Seems like it is not a bad idea if ever requested.

Honestly, I know of very few sportsbooks that ask for ID at all when using neteller. The only two I can think of are Olympic and SIA and Nine/VIP ask if you refer a friend as does the Hollywood group.
