1. Wash your hands before eating, or after bathroom usage... pretty easy to do

2. If you go into a restaurant, and there is no soap in the bathroom...maybe eat somewhere else ? Correlated to rule #1

3. If you see flies on the donuts ( I don't eat donuts), get your coffee elsewhere.

4. Hotel glasses ( made of glass) are decorations only.

5. If it looks iffy....pass

I'm no prude on this, but if it looks bad:

foodhandler goes straight from money to food

insects on food

waiter doesn't wash hands after a piss

no soap in the water closet

etc.

esp. after a power outage.

It is routine for frozen foods to be left at room temperature for 8 or more hours, when stocking

I've seen stuff like eggs left unrefrigerated for days, in favor of more perishable stuff, when refrigerated space is at a premium, or eggs are on sale that week.
