The Ultimate Fighter 10 debuted last night. It's like Real World for men. Manly men! Seriously though, it was quite an opening. All heavyweights competing with Rashaad Evans and Rampage Jackson as coaches. The matchup featured a wrestler versus a striker and was it bloody! It looked like someone got stabbed honest to God. Definitely not for kids and squeamish adulsts. Ironically, it was the wrestler who did all the damage. He must have fractured the guys forehead, as the gash they showed afterwards looked like he got hit with a crowbar.

Prior to that there were live fights and all 4 were excellent but the first 2 were absolute wars. It was beyond amazing nobody got knocked out. I could never understand how my father could sit and watch boxing for hours. I enjoyed it to a lesser extent but particularly if there was a big fight. After sitting and watching MMA for 3 hours last night (without any action!) I now understand how he did it and how people watch sporting events without wagering. I just wish my Dad was here to watch the fights with me.

Good synopsis Swinging J. This season of TUF looks like a real doozy. And love him or hate him, Kimbo brings an x-factor that has my curiosity running rampant.

My mind is a cascading torrent, Hedley Lamarr!

Loved the fights. Went 4-1 on my plays, and only lost on the idiot black man who only lost because after dominating the fight, he decided to act like an idiot black man.

But good night nonetheless. Now, how much money will I win in three days for UFC 103? Hmmmm.....

Look at you! Quoting Blazing Saddles and waxing effortlessly on a topic of my choosing. Now I want to know.....what have you done with Bread and how do I get him back? You are right on the money. I've watched those Kimbo Youtube videos and I've seen what this guy can do. You know what really amazes me? I watched an interview Mike Straaka from Fox did with him and this monster was so humbled to be fighting for a spot in the UFC. His demeanor was almost reverential when talking about the other contestants. Perhaps that knock out he took was somewhat of an epiphany for him and his aura of invincibility shattered. You look at this guy and think, how can he be concerned about anyone? But as MMA afficianados we both know he has every right to be concerned.

The last fight was a lesson in not trying to beat someone at their own game. Complete rookie mistake and boy oh boy did he pay for it. Always love talking MMA with a knowledgeable fan. Nice job Bread. By the way, what are the odds if you and Robyn decide to go toe to toe in the Octagon?

Excellent fights last night. Love the show also, but what a snoozer of a fight. If it wasnt for all the blood, it may have been the most boring MMA fight ever.

Dad, blood = excitement. Isn't that why you only talk to mom on the 21-24?

I could, and do, kick Robyn's ass all the time.

Swinging J they just had Marcus Jones (the ex-Buc) on a local morning show and he said that Kimbo was super cool to chill with. I agree, kinda hard to picture such a menacing presence shooting the salad with anyone about the latest episode of Jon & Kate + Eight...but there you have it.

I thought Kimbo came off as a real classy guy so far. From what I can tell it is going to be hard for him to win this thing. When they showed a few clips of him rolling around he looks really old compared to the other guys. I hope he has a good showing but right now I don't see him winning it.

The Rampage/Rashad exchanges are hilarious! This is going to be a fun season with those two.

What was up with the wrestler guy who did the take down instead of doing the high five. That was bs. I hope that guy gets smashed in the next round. People like him never make it anyways. I noticed the ref stood them up real quick after that bs.

Good comments. Shooting the salad! That's a first for me but I like it dammit. That would be a funny skit, seeing Kimbo with all his chains, legs crossed, crocheting a blanket and talking to a gaggle of women about recipes, jon and kate, fashionable footwear and todays new bold colors for awnings and drapes.

Sledge, I'm pretty sure he was advised not to touch gloves by Team Evans. I don't think that had anything to do with him to be honest. If you're in that situation, in that environment, you do what you're told.

Well most know of "shooting the shit" BUT "shooting salad" is actually a term used when people are rolling on Ecstacy, and begin to have a conversation with someone who isn't there. I like that term.

But what's most important here is that we teach our youths to remain drug free.

I love TUF but I have a feeling that this season is going to be over the top. Adding Kimbo was a brilliant marketing move (of which I do not give Dana White credit). It also appears that Kimbo has been working on his cardio, which he desperately needed. Oh man, and that fight. I had to turn away. A little bit of blood is alright with me, but it looked like someone was murdered.
