    Bet Jamaica
So I tapped out my Caribsports account recently and I am looking at opening with a new book. BetJam is the one that seems the best for my needs. Question I have for anyone who deals with them ... I was reading about their deposit/withdrawal options and was paricularly interested in any dealings with the credit card/debit card method.

Any US players have any experience they can share with me on this? As in, do they accept this method from US players, etc. Thanks in advance.

I got that debit card thing and still am not able to use it yet they charged me $5 for it. Kind of pissed about it. They keep saying they are working on it. But I am afraid it's a waste of time. Even so, Betjm is a top tier book and if you can find a way to fund your account you'll be fine....

Actually I did not mean that transfer card I've read about, I meant actually funding an account with your own credit card or debit card. Sorry for the confusion.

i tried a few weeks ago to deposit with my credit card and was rejected....in fact, my cc company called me to ask me about "suspicious activity" on my account and if I was aware about recent failed transactions.

Best thing is to fund it by Western Union right now. They pick up fees on over $200 deposits so that is not a bad deal. It's just the hassle and inconvenience about it that sucks.

You will have to wait 14 days, befor you can make any kind of withdrawal (used to be 30 days). I dont like this book, they ****ed me around on a technicality they could and should of easily avoided based on my history with this book. Not cool!!

The hold is normally around 9 business days but they list 14 to be safe. Depositing on a Friday vs a Monday would take longer. Same policy as The Greek.

            Chano,
            What happened?

              Chano,

Been playing at Olympic for years, so I deposit (via CC) to Betjam to take advantage of the baseball (10 cent lines). I turn 2k into 10k , I ask for my money and they say I must wait 30 business days. I noticed that rule on their site (no argument from me). But, I have used this same CC with Olympic since 99
They know who I am, I have withdrawn and deposited in the record amounts. They could of easliy said, sure , no problem, How would you like your funds? But they didn't and I thought that was wrong. If I was new, i understand. I have since not deposited in any of Spiro's books.

Was that the first time you'd used BetJam or have you been using them for awhile?

No i'd been using Betjm for about 2 years and as you would expect from A+ book my experiences were very positive. Very strong customer service, nice lines especially in baseball, great software, etc...

it's important to note nothing has changed about the books per se....it's just the funding and withdrawing are a major obstacle. If you can fund your Betjm account there is no need to worry about anything in terms of safety. Your money is as secure as it was with Pinnacle. The trick is being able to fund it and just being patient in these times of uncertainty.......

I agree, to fund it I have been using the ******** pre-paid card even though it is a pain to shell out a few bucks to load it with. I have had no problems getting it to go through so far and I have been happy with that. I give them an A+ without a doubt, they have treated me very well so far. They just don't wanting you withdrawaling too much because then it would be a red flag. I would withdrawal no more than $500 at a time if you can do that with W.U. or have them FedEx you a check if you need more than that.

I am going to go with the ******** option. There's a few steps to getting the card funded and then getting the funds into BetJam - but in today's climate, it's not that big of a hassle I suppose. Thanks for all the input.

Eagles it has worked for me, just go under ********.com and find out where they sell them at in your area then you can go to that location to fund it. It costs $3 to reload and a $1 per a transaction to BetJamaica. It has worked everytime for me and I have done it three times now, I use them for horse racing because you get a 3 percent rebate on on all win-place-exatas-and tri's and their limits are better for the horses also. I know you will like them and thegreek too if you are thinking about going with them too. Very nice service from their representives on the phone also. I think you will be happy with them even though they don't have the lower juice but their service sure makes up for it for me.

Good thread. Lot of useful information. It wouldnt shock me if they too were to get a little backed up. But this book is well known for being very conservative with the cash.

do you guys keep your **** gift card or throw them away once you made your deposit?

I was wondering about when you make a withdraw, doesn't the books ask for scanned docs and infos of the **** card?

And how about those virtual **** gift Card? how the hell do you scan a Virtual **** Card?

It would be nice if someone with experience could explain it to me, that would help me make easier deposits and withdraws via **** gift card.

Yes I keep mine and it is reloadable and then just go to your book that accepts **** and just type in the information and with ******** cards it works with Bet Jamaica, I have used it several times to fund my account. I would go under ********.com and find out a location of where they sell their cards at then go to the retailer and purchase one and it costs 9.95 and you have to at least load $20 on the card then you have reloads that cost $3 a reload and it costs $1 per transaction to use it. If you want to send say $100 then I would give them $115 to start off with to make sure you have enough to cover for it. With reloads that would be $105 and it would work just fine. I hope I helped you out some there freebie. I think this is the way that books are going to go here since gift cards and used worldwide and sold worldwide by U.S. banks and other countries. I wouldn't be surprised at all if banks over in the countries that the books deal with start selling these cards for the books at retailers like Wal-Mart or Target.
