My situation is in the Beat Vegas Dave contest, but the 2 contests use the same software. I posted this in the message section of Beat Dave, but so far no reply from anyone running these contests.
My week 2 was 4-0 for +4.97 units.
it's only .03 units and won't matter for pts, but I'm curious as to how I could go 4-0 and be less than +5 units. the rules state than you play to win 1 unit for neg odds and risk 1 unit for positive odds.
here's why it happened. When I selected the game, it was -105. Then when I clicked to confirm, it said the line changed to -108 and "do you accept?". I said yes. So it kept my risk at 105 and lowered the win amount. I don't like this as it relates to the rules of risk 1 or win 1. No big deal - only .03 , but I like accuracy and it is an interesting problem because it forced a contradiction of the rules.
Do the contest organizers want this exception to the rules to be possible. In this case , it means nothing - but imagine the grand prize in BTP going to the wrong person because of this.
