Can't believe none of you are mentioning that cinematic epic "Dirty Dancing".
I guess this forum mainly consists of men

I don't know what you mean,"his acting was sub-par"?
Did you see ROADHOUSE ?
Now who could have played that role any better ...NOBODY !
That also just happens to be the "best" B movie of all-time, a man's movie I suppose you could say !
Who out there agrees ?
Swayze was the "Best Man in Hollywood",one hell of a man !

I liked Patrick Swayze don't get me wrong. Seemed like avery nice man and I thought he was a respectable actor. But ROADHOUSE being the best B movie of all time? What does that mean exactly. It wasn't a great movie but it was the best of a mediocre bunch? Stan Papi......the best sub par major leaguer of all time! WTF? Abe, I'm glad you enjoyed ROADHOUSE. I remember seeing it a good long time ago and thinking, not bad, I won't ask for that 2 hours of my life back but then it was gone pffffffft. Only to be thought of whn ever the name Patrick Swayze came up on conversation or watching him on tv. Nothing more, nothing less.
If you want to to talk about Patrick Swayze in something memorable, the Chippendales dance off with Chris Farley was one for the ages. That was a riot and patrick could not have played a better straight man. I'm sorry he's gone but I don't think ROADHOUSE will be as memorable as the actor who starred in it.

Ahem....ROADHOUSE is considered one of the Best Cult Classic movies of all-time ![move back to Earth Johnson]
I can't think of a more recognizable movie "noted" for "cliques" ?
Like "pain don't hurt "!
DAMN,Roadhouse last year was on AMC ,seems like, every 3/4 weeks !
ROADHOUSE also had great acting ,including Swayze,Ben Gazzara [best villain ever ?],and those other two "toughies",Sam Elliot and Marshall Teague !
Wake up and smell the roses Johnson !

He worked an entire season on AE with one of the worst cancers you can have AND didn't take any pain medication. He wanted to project an edge to his role. That to me is amazing.
RIP.
