The ball is allowed to touch the ground in that situation as long as control is maintained. He had his hand around/under the ball the entire time. Based on the rule it is a touchdown. Calling people idiots when you apparently are not aware of the rules yourself, thats ballsy.

If he had control of the ball, the ball would have still been in his hands or craddled under his arms when he hit the ground, not loose between his feet.

Ugh. If you had read my earlier posts, you'd know I'm maintaining that ESPN showed a 3rd replay which clearly showed the ball entirely loose lying on the ground.

My money's on SD and I've got to admit that that was a TD. He caught the ball and got 2 feet in the end zone. He then hit the ground before the ball squirted out. So thats 2 feet and a body part (butt). That is bullshit for the refs to reverse that call. Then LT just got tripped by a Raiders defender and they don't blow the play dead and he runs for a first down. Horrible refs tonight fella's.

I've got the Chargers but I'm impressed by how the Raiders are playing.
