IDK. I know that Leftwich is a tough guy, but he got his arse handed to him in the last quarter of the game. first three quarters were pretty solid, but it looked like the bucs gassed in the 4th.Comment -
The Bucs missed two FG's early on against DAL, and basically dominated the 1H.
A lot of teams found ways to lose yesterday. Missed FG's and INT's all over the place. First two weeks are a mine field, so I'll only play totals.Comment -
bucs played 10 times better than I expected.. leftwich was good, caddy was awesome.. the other rb (forgot name) also kicked ass..
either they are alot better than most predicted, or dallas really sucked but got the cover...?
for sure, dallas was blowing it, and tb was at home.. so thread lightly.. they might be a totally different team away from home..

You guys that have said the BUCS played well must have been listening to the annoucers to much..............Dallas toyed with the Bucs..........CADILLAC looked very good, other than that, this team stunk up the joint. Their pass defense reeked with missed coverages all day.Comment -
No I watched the game. The Bucs came out the gate and played very well. Caddilac ran extremley hard. They had 26 first downs (14 through the air). Leftwich played very well and didn't throw any INT's. They would have had a 7-6 lead in the first quarter but that illegal shift penalty moved them back and they had to settle for a blocked FG. They went 3/3 in the red zone, only commited 15 penalty yards. Held the Cowboys to 3/10 on 3rd downs. Ran for 5.6 YPC. They had a few things that took the air out of them, the penalty already mentioned, a 42 yard TD to Miles Austin with 0:46 left in the half, and the 80 yard pass to Crayton when the score was 20-14.Comment -
It was their home opener, they figured to keep it close for a half........until reality set in.
This team reeks.........they are horrible.
Right now, looking at their schedule, they would not be favored in more than two games...........and that's stretching it.Comment -
The offense put up 450 total yards on offense. 174 yards on the ground...5.6 yards per carry. The offensive numbers were good enough to win the game the issue was the piss poor defense.Comment -

Well they will beat the Bills next week, thats a terrible line. But, them not being favored (as of right now) has a lot to do with their schedule. Cowboys, Giants, Eagles, Redskins, Pats, Dolphins, Jets, Packers, Seahawks, Bills, then their division. That is one of the more brutal NFL schedules I have seen. Lets wait and see how these teams pan out before trying to project lines 5 weeks in advance. The Bucs are definitley a bad team but they will be competitive and get maybe 5 wins.Originally posted by FishheadComment -
