    Michael Irvin Gone From ESPN
Heard a short blib on ESPN this Sunday morning that said something to the effect that Michael (How could I possibly be in the Hall of Fame and Art Monk is not) Irvin is no longer with ESPN. They did not elaborate. They didn't say if he was fired or his contract expired or we could expect to hear more in the future.

Anybody got the dope on this? (pun intended)

    No dope here.

I'm not sorry he's gone. He's just a lot of empty noise as far as I'm concerned.

Heres the scoop in the former Crackboy:

Irvin cut from job on air at ESPN

Michael Irvin has lost his ESPN gig, barely two weeks after being elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Dallas Cowboys' all-time leading receiver spent four years as an NFL studio analyst for the all-sports network.

ESPN decided Friday "as part of an annual evaluation" not to exercise an option in Irvin's contract, it was confirmed Saturday.

"Michael Irvin will not be returning to ESPN," network spokesman Bill Hofheimer said.

"We thank him for his contributions and wish him well."

"It's fine," Irvin said Saturday night. "These are exciting times for me and my family. There are a lot of opportunities to explore."

Leaving ESPN is not his wish; however, Irvin will leave taking the high road.

"I truly appreciate what ESPN allowed me to do, but it was time to move on," said Irvin, who has been surrounded by controversy twice in the past 15 months. "I loved working with those guys ... but I feel blessed enough to do other things."

I actually sort of enjoyed him. Of ex-players I would actually listen to him. He was best dropping in on the Dan Patrick Show IMO.

Irvin should've been fired a long time ago due to his actions off camera and the fact he's a dumbass on camera....So long Irvin,I won't miss you!

The only entertaining thing about watching him was seeing what suit he would wear.
