Sounds pretty good - they will just go around the league in real time joining in games at the more exciting moments. Still any need for the Sunday Ticket given a channel like this?
Anyone looking forward to checking out the NFL Network's Red Zone channel?

Even Verizon Fios has this channel for $50 for the season. Why not?Comment -

I think nfl ticket is overrated, you cannot watch all the games at one, silly.Comment -

#6I'm pretty sure that the redzone channel IS the redzone channel already on the Sunday Ticket superfan package. If it is, and that's all you got, it will be OK, but it is still no substitiute for the Sunday ticket. The best thing about the Sunday Ticket is the channel with 8 games, so if you have multiple TVs, you can have 1 on the 8 game channel so that you can monitor the games at all times, and still have the main game on the big screen. The other thing that is good about the superfan deal is the quick cuts that come out on Monday night. Every game cut down to just the plays and it takes just 30 minutes. Awesome tool for handicapping. Of course the worst thing is the freaking $400 you will have to shell out for this package, what a rip off, but then again if you lay down a couple of dimes every weekend on this sport, it is a small price to pay.
I would like it if the NFL network had the quick cuts channel to go along with the red zone channel.Comment -

#9Not really. I like to see the whole game, not bit an pieces of many games. It's hard to tell how well a team play defensively and offensively.Comment -

#11I think $49.95 is all I need to know for this channel. So many times when some good games are finishing and you are still stuck with the one in your local market that's a blowout.Comment -

#12I got Comcast.
Have hdmi cable
DVR
42" flatscreen
Nothing to great, but I'll tell you what I like.
$5 extra/ a month gets me the redzone channel, and a bunch of sports regionals.
I'm in college football heaven, on Saturday. And I will be for college basketball.
Five friggin dollars, and I get all that!!!
I live across the street from a bar that has Sunday ticket (8 50" flatscreens on 1 wall), spend $30 a week at the bar, record redzone on my DVR for $5 a month. Still cheaper than ordering Sunday ticket from DirectTV.
I feel so much better that I faded DirectTV. Their service is crap. $700 for Sunday Ticket w/ Redzone, and DVR. funk dat.
Now I'll have enough $ for NHL Center Ice, and NBA League Pass.
I'm so happy that I gave DirectTv the middle finger after all these years of bad service, and cornering a monopoly, on the NFL.Comment -

#13redzone channel is awesome. So are 'short cuts,' Watch every play from a game in 30min. I watched every single game from week 1. Pure insanity. I like having the Sunday ticket bc sometimes you just want to watch a certain game, and redzone keeps switching around. Plus on redzone, they tell you if you want to watch this game go to channel 707.
I hook up a couple TV's in my living room, and grab my laptop, and watch redzone and 2 other games at once.. can't wait till its sunday again.Comment
