It feels like you are trying to shoehorn U.S. political dopiness into the rest of the world. I know socialist is a one of these loaded political buzzwords down there that causes panic and sends knees jerking, but to the rest of the world it is not a big deal. I would think if fiveteamer was a socialist he would just say, "I'm a socialist," and nobody would think much of it.

It was actually a failed attempt at wit on my part... His aviator (Eugene Debs) is an semi-obscure Socialist Party perennial U.S. presidential candidate from the early 20th century which I thought was a pretty interesting choice on a sports betting message board... Debs was kindof a hero to me at a younger time (despite not being a socialist, leftest, progressive, or whatever) and actually thought it was pretty cool even if fiveteamer is (or isn't) of a socialistic mindset...

Although I'm still drinking the conspiracy kool-aid that he is secretly...
