This relates to a recent discussion with some friends. We were talking movies and the subject arose of Cate Blanchett winning the Oscar for portraying Katherine Hepburn in The Aviator. The pivotal comment that leads us to this thread was Rick saying something to the effect of, she is one of the most beautiful women in the world and she was portraying one of the most beautiful actresses of all-time.
Okay. Do we also need a HOT or NOT - Katherine Hepburn thread? I don't know. Is anybody hoping there will be a Katherine Hepburn secret sex tape released? Maybe I should ask Rick. To me, she will always be the classic example of how a woman does not need to be even remotely attractive to be a successful actress (although, of course, it helps a hell of a lot.)
Although I find Cate Blanchett more attractive than Hepburn, I basically think of her the same way. She has forged a great career on LOADS of talent - all credit to her. Is she presentable? Sure. Somewhat attractive from certain angles? I'll go along with that. One of the most beautiful women in the world? No.
Hot? NOT.
But my friend Rick thinks so.
Here are a bunch of random pics:
