Sportsbooks in Vegas (particularly free drinks)
Heading out to vegas this weekend with the old man and he wants to do a lot of sportsbetting. He hasn't been in years so I told him I don't think the drinks are complimentary any more. I know the golden nugget was giving us one drink ticket for every $50 at the bash but I haven't been to other books in a while. If you know of any books that still are very generous in giving complimentary drinks for sportsbetting, please let me know. Thanks

I stayed at Paris in May and spent a lot of time in the Race/Sportsbook. I would go up, bet on a race for a total of $10-20, then order a drink. Repeat next race. The waitress just looks to see if you have tickets in front of you. They didn't care for how much. I never paid anything more than a tip and drank for free every day I was there.

Hilton gives you free drinks as long as your in the book with a ticket. Doesn't matter how much. Bally's wants a drink ticket. Stations too.

I like MGM, however when you see the beer lady just walk in the horse racing part and you will get free drinks there.

I did make a few race bets at Caesar's and it was a very nice atmosphere. Had a couple drinks but don't know if they were complimentary as they were procured by a friend.

                the key is tipping

make a bet order a drink when the waitress comes around and tip her

she will seek you out the rest of the day

                they work for tips

agree with the tipping part... i'd just make a small horse bet (bet a couple bucks on an exacta) and usually get a couple.. that was at the mirage last Thanksgiving.

good luck... let us know how it goes..

Goes without saying. Definitely have to tip or they will ignore you.
