Question re: any QB. 1) Is it the QB? 2) Or is it the team around him?
In the case of the Giants, a lot of it is the Team. Is this guy going to do ANYTHING in the NFL?
...Someone will surely seek him out as a backup. I think there will be a Chapter Two to his career.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#8Tommy "Cutlets" DeVito is starting.
Danny asked for his release rather than wait until the end of the season.
This was a bullshit move by benching him rather than risk paying the injury clause in his contract.
As a lifelong Giants fan this leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth.
Classless act from a once very classy organization.

Daboll is gone, Schoen is gone, the locker room can't stand Schoen, and that's not even a secret anymore.
They're going to tank for a top three draft pick, and I'll have to suffer two more years of 3-14 horse shit football.Comment -

Jones made a lot of bank. On a betting market, will Jones be the winning QB in an NFL game again?

I could also see a trainer with a barn full of nice horses that won races and my opinion of that trainer was very low.
So while I watch a lot of NFL, the people in the business know way more than I do. That said, I think IMO he is an average NFL starting quarterback. I do not care how much he was paid. I say, good for him. So average starter and well above average 2nd stringer, that's my opinion. Bet the 49ers wish they had him about now.Comment -

#31Originally posted by strWhen I was training horses, I used to see a trainer with just a few slow horses and see what was going on and could clearly see the difference as to how good that trainer could be with better stock or how bad or weak, unknowledgeable, etc. that trainer actually is. Of course it was my opinion but it was my profession as well, so I knew .

#33Originally posted by JAKEPEAVY21Why keep him around if demoted to 4th string and they have already decided to move on?
Both NY NFL franchises are total rubbish from the top down.
I think it was rude as hell to demote DJ to 4th string where in practice he had to step in as scout team safety. I have mixed feeling about DJ's ability to start in the NFL, but by ALL ACCOUNTS he is an upstanding dude and earned the respect of teammates. The zeal with which the Giants threw him under the bus was a bit suspect.
And to show how unserious the team is today, they had DeVito as back up. How did they not keep Tyrod Taylor over DeV to back up? The Tommy Cutlets phenomenon was fun, but did not warrant a repeat performance. LinSanity happened once, not twice.Comment -
