I was talking to Chuckles about this earlier, thought I would start a thread. I am not usually a fan of betting an under involving Montana State but UC Davis is no slouch on defense and has the meat up front to slow down the Bobcat running attack imo. Both defenses have given up some plays but have been very stingy giving up touchdowns. Both teams have capable offenses that can explode but I don't like this as a shootout. In my estimation this game with be played in the 40s. Both teams like to attack on the ground and both defenses limit big plays so I see a good amount of clock being eaten up on long drives. This game will decide the Big Sky regular season championship so I expect both sides to be prepared for a battle. I expect a 24-20 kind of game.

This is a loss. UC Davis passing every down, not rushing hardly at all in this game, taking no time off the clock and now they just gave up a 70 yard punt return TD. Big plays all over the place. On to the next one.Comment -

You can't make that ending up. The under was pretty much in the bag after defense took over in 2nd half. 30-15 with 2:32 left on the clock. Bobcats give up a 77 yard pass to setup a td. Then give up an onside kick. Then give up another 50 yard td drive for under loss. They deny 2 pt conversion to win. UnrealComment -
Well I wasn't surprised at a crazy finish as there were several crazy plays during the 1st half so even to be in the that position was fortunate at the end. But that 77 yard pass should have been called back for offensive PI to begin with. I would have been pretty hot if I was sitting there with a -7 Mt St ticket. Even the first UC Davis TD with 7 minutes to go was aided by the refs on a 4th and 9 in the redzone on a bogus PI call. It would have been over then. But that was an absolute meltdown. They just should have went for it on 4th and 1 to ice the game. UC Davis had no answer for the rush attack at the end because they were tired. That decision to punt set in motion the improbable events that lead to that loss. Watching that unfold though was pure disbelief, it was the definition of don't count your chickens before they hatch.Comment
