Deep NCAA sleeper I like tonight.
    CCSU + @17.5 PC

Central Connecticut won the regular season NEC regular season Conference title last season, they are well coached (Pat Sellers) who worked for Jim Calhoun for four years at UCONN. They can play in that mid major Northeast Conference here, LIU is always tough, there's talent here.

Providence isn't scary as a Big East team, even though they are very well coached as well.

Feeling here is a very good NEC team can stay within 18 points of a mediocre Big East team.

    CCSU +17.5 PC

Big night here in Husky country, UConn doesn't open but a lot of locals do including the four D1 Rhode Island schools.

So many sports, not enough time.

Yeah man, a rocking chair cover.
Rocking chair wins a few and far between.
CCSU can play, that was a soft line.
Keep an eye on the NEC and the MAAC up here, there's money to be made in the middies.

Props, nashy. Looks like you had good insights on this one.

For sure there are edges to be had in the very early coll-bask. Coaching changes can be valuable, and of course the personnel changes.

I used to hear stories (going way back) on how Vegas set the openers on oddball teams. They really didn't have good baseline ratings. It was sometimes two guys throwing out a guess and taking the average (of two).

              Thanks.

Basketball is king here in New England, hockey as well, but hoops are king.
Sure UConn, both men and women dominate, but there are so many talented mid majors here as well.
URI is going to be reckoned with in the A-Ten...

Yale in the Ivies are always in the hunt, CCSU in the NEC, Fairfield (women) in the MAAC, Vermont always dominates the America East.
Pays to keep up with on which program is going to be in deep doo this year as well.

I always watch the Big East, I've missed four UCONN games in the past three seasons, I pay attention to Yale, Fairfield in the MAAC always. and four other locals, Sacred Heart (The Trumbull boys are in for a world of hurt this season) CCSU...

Go to any sports bar here in New England, the only thing we like more here than hoops is NFL.
