Cop killed by own gun because inferior lady cop couldn't handle perp.

We have a case in North St.Paul,Minnesota that just happened where the police were called to investigate an estranged couple's domestic dispute after the ex wife called that her ex showed up and was hostile.So a guy and woman partner cop show up at the scene and a linebacker type guy in his prime is on a rampage.The guy lights a towel or something in gas and shoves it onto the male cop burning him causing a distraction.The male cop has his gun removed by the perp and the perp shoots and kills the male cop.His female partner in no way could handle the linebacker guy to stop him.Finally more backup cops show up at the scene and kill the perp.

This leads to the question.Why in meaningless sports do they have 53 man rosters where if you have the slightest imperfection or flaw,you don't make the team and are cut but in government civil service jobs,inferior people are encouraged to try out and are given favoritism to win a spot on the team?

Someone should ask Obama a question like this at a staged town hall meeting.

I'll say the same thing I always say whenever I read something like this. Unless you were at the scene it's difficult to say anything about the situation. There are many questions that are unanswered and it's impossible to blame anyone but the suspect in this case. Domestic violence cases are probably the most dangerous situations you can come across. There are many cases where the woman who has just gotten the crap beaten out of her are on your side until those handcuffs go on her boyfriend/husband.

When you walk into someones house they have the advantage. You obviously aren't going to have multiple officers or the SWAT team there unless it's a known place for violence and the call slip requires multiple officers. For those people who don't work this job it's difficult to explain just how dangerous and unpredictable some of these situations are.

There are plenty of women officers out there who do a great job. I can say for a fact I've seen plenty of male officers who are lazy and I wouldn't want them backing me up in any situation.

I have read stats that prove your point. Women cops use excessive force more regularly, because they have to. Their partners get hurt or killed at a higher percentage.And their arrests are resisted at a higher percentage. I'm sure there are alot of women that can handle themselves but HAVING to hire women for police work is just dangeress.

How can you say the woman cop is inferior to a male cop? There is know way to know what happened unless you were there. If there was another male cop on the scene the same thing could have happened. Who knows.....she could have actually drawn her weapon but couldn't get a good shot.

The New London Day,around late Nov. letters to the editor section. The writer was a stats professor . He was commenting on a incident where a female officer was resonding to call. The suspect resisted she called for back up and another female officer responded they both were asulted and one of them shot a 16 year old running away from them.

Being a policeman is a dangerous job. I am a man and I wouldn't do it no matter the salary. Let women have the jobs and do a well as possible. Be grateful someone still wants to be in law enforcement.

'Diversity quotas' is BS, I agree. America should be about the best man (or woman) for the job getting hired. You shouldn't have to regulate what kind of person is hired, or say X many need to be hired, the best man or woman for the job period. It reflects poorly on society that rules like this need to exist anywhere.
